Description

Toffee and Chocolate Cookie Bars are a delicious, gooey treat that combines the sweet crunch of toffee with rich chocolate in every bite. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in, these cookie bars are not only easy to make but also visually stunning with their golden edges and melting chocolate swirls.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and toffee bits until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
