Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup water (room temperature)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (3 oz) box blue Jell-O
  • 1 cup strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup blueberries (washed)
  • 2 cups whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes, then poke holes all over the top using a fork.
  5. Prepare the blue Jell-O according to package instructions but reduce water slightly for extra flavor intensity. Pour it evenly over the cooled cake.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Spread whipped topping over the set cake and decorate with strawberries and blueberries before serving.
