Description

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 4 oz high-quality marzipan
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Gradually fold in the flour and almond extract until a soft dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thick on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
  5. Roll out marzipan on parchment paper and cut into shapes to place atop each cookie.
  6. Arrange cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
