  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 4 fresh pineapple slices
  • 4 toasted brioche hamburger buns
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves (romaine or butter)
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or aioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef with half of the teriyaki sauce and form into four patties.
  3. Brush pineapple slices with remaining teriyaki sauce.
  4. Grill the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness. Add pineapple slices during the last few minutes until grill marks appear.
  5. Toast the buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble by layering lettuce, burger patty, grilled pineapple, chopped green onions, and mayo on each bun.
